Korean exporters held over a thousand consultations with overseas buyers during FOODEX Japan 2026.
South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) reported that domestic exporters held 1,333 business meetings with overseas buyers in March, generating potential export deals for agricultural and food products worth USD 99 million, an 11% increase year-on-year.
The ministry said 23 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were also signed, with a combined value of USD 12 million, representing a 9% rise compared with the previous year. These preliminary agreements are expected to support further export growth in the coming months.
The consultations took place during FOODEX Japan 2026 in Tokyo, where Korean companies presented a range of products to international buyers as part of ongoing efforts to expand overseas market access.
