Portugal, the partner country of the 2015 edition , wants to double its exports

Objective: to double its fruit and vegetable exports in 2020.

According to Lusa News Agency , the Association Fresh Portugal that will drive a little over 40 national companies on Fruit Logistica 2015, wants to double Fruits & Vegetables exports of the country. To reach € 2 billion fruit and vegetable exports by 2020.

The sector Fruits & Vegetables Portugal contributes EUR 2.5 billion annually in GDP of the country, and only 40% of its production is exported. Recently Portuguese exports grew 10 %, according to figures from the Ministry of Agriculture.
