Rising sales of Chilean avocados

Chilean exports of avocados reached 66 675 tons between January and November 2002, that is to say a 61,2% on last year. Exports over the first 11 months of the year represented Euro 62,9 million with the United States as first destination. On a worldwide level, the production is 2 million tons with Mexico as first growing country and Europe as main global market.
