In India, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Agriculture, mango production is expected to increase by 4.24% in volume for this 2020-21 season.
The Ministry of Agriculture has announced its forecast for the 2020-21 crop year. Regarding mangoes, for this season, the country's production is expected to reach 21.12 million tonnes. That is +4.24% compared to the 2019-20 campaign (July-June) which produced 20.26 million tonnes of mangoes.
Mangoes from southern and western India have started to arrive, while the season in northern states, like Uttar Pradesh, kicks off in mid-June.
The country's total fruit production is expected to reach 103.22 million tonnes this year, up from 102 million tonnes last year.
