Remarkable performance for Tunisian date exports.
Very satisfactory results in Tunisia for date exports, which recorded increases in volume (23%) and value (25%).
The Ministry of Agriculture announced that date export earnings reached 500 million dinars (181 million euros) at the beginning of June 2017. That is a 25% increase compared to the previous year.
Exports increased by 23%. Over the same period, organic dates totaled 5,353 tons exported and revenues increased by 17.8%.
In terms of destinations for Tunisian dates, Morocco leads (22 000 tons) followed by Malaysia (6 900 tons), followed by France (6 400 tons), Italy (6 300 tonnes) and Indonesia (5,400 tons).
