Relocation of Production threat

Some professionals in the Almeria region begin to be alarmed due to the increasing relocation of production .

The move to Morocco in search of lower labor costs for some vegetables whose production has fallen sharply ( bean dish ) . Productions that require more work left the Almeria region for Morocco.

Moroccan production increases in traditional products (tomatoes ) but also for courgettes, peppers. Some regions , benefiting from greater water availability, could still compete over the Almeria region.

Faced with increasing competition, the region of Almeria has bet on innovation , quality and service. Particularly with organic products that generate high demand and more value .
