Stable production of peaches &nectarines

The production in peaches and nectarines in the Pyrénées-Orientales region is stable with 113 000 tonnes against 111 000 in 2000. High yields for season and late varieties. As for the Gard and Vallée du Rhône regions, they are more affected because of the lask of winter cold. The national production posts a 8% drop with 436 000 tons against 475 000 in 2000.
