Vegetable market in Poland this week
Poland
Tuesday 30 January 2007
There is a price correction on the vegetable market now - the price for onion goes down because of import. The processing plants are getting cheap onion from Holland, Germany and Ukraine.
The prices of celery and carrot are going up now.
Here are what the manufacturers paid at the beginning of last week for 1 kilo of carrot and celery compared to 2006:
carrot
- 2006 - 0,10EUR
- 2007 - 0,12EUR
celery
- 2006 - 0,05EUR
- 2007 - 0,06EUR
In the processing plants and cold storages nothing is going on - the season starts here in february when they start to buy spinach and rhubarb.
