Excellent beginning of season for hazelnuts exports

The Union of Hazelnut Exporters said that Turkey exported 137,774 tons of hazelnuts in four months, which represent 805.4 million dollars for the period from September 1st to December 31st, 2010.

For the same period last year, Turkey had exported 104,161 tons of hazelnuts (639.2 million U.S. dollars).

1st world producer, Turkey has exported 213,141 tons of hazelnuts for the 2009-2010 season in nearly 90 countries.
