China, new destination of Ecuador bananas

Ecuador is going to begin its first exports of bananas towards China.
Ecuador, first world exporter of bananas, planned that its exports will increase by 17 % and will represent in value 2,1 billion dollars this year.
To reach these figures and booster its exports, the solution consists in finding new markets.
Ecuador has just signed an agreement of export of bananas with China.
450 000 boxes of bananas will be sent by week. The exports will be realized by the company Empresa Estatal Bananera. Negotiations are in progress for additional exports.
Talks are also under way with a Chinese province for additional exports of a similar quantity of bananas, while discussions with Iran for exports of 150 000-200 000 boxes are at a very advanced stage.
