The (fake) recede of Monsanto in Europe

Monsanto will no longer do "lobbying" for the development of genetically modified crops in Europe.

During an interview in a German newspaper, a European representative of Monsanto announced that the company will no longer implement "lobbying" in Europe. Monsanto will "fully concentrate on the conventional, normal hybrid crops. And that's all that we will sell, except in Spain and Portugal, where GM crops are accepted."

This announcement has the air of an operation of communication. It should be noted that it comes after global mobilization of May 25, which brought together more than 2 million protesters against Monsanto around the world.

Monsanto forgot to mention that it will have to continue to obtain the authorization from Brussels. These authorizations are valid throughout the European territory.  Shall a multinational like Monsanto renounce the markets?
