Libyan troubles have affected Italian exports

Italian exports to Libya fell of 56%.
Italian agricultural association Coldiretti has reported that the ongoing conflict in Libya is adversely affecting Italy’s fresh produce exports to the country.
Italy’s overall grocery exports to Libya are 56 per cent lower this year compared to 2010.Libya used to be the biggest importer of Italian tinned & fresh tomatoes.
If Italy is strongly dependent on Libya for its energy resources, Libya imports massive amounts of fruits and vegetables in Italy. Trade is almost zero for weeks. The end of troubles could restart exports.
