Higher volumes push Peru’s grape export revenues up
VU
Strong volume growth combined with firmer pricing underpinned Peru’s solid grape export performance in 2025.
Peru exported US$1.55 billion worth of table grapes between January and November 2025, up 6% year on year, driven by a sharp rise in shipment volumes. Export volumes climbed 10% to 526,423 tonnes, while the average export price increased to US$2.94 per kilo, from US$2.68/kg in 2024, reports Agrodata Peru.
The season was heavily front-loaded. January and February alone accounted for more than US$645 million in export value, reflecting strong early-season demand. Shipments accelerated again in October and November, with November exports peaking at US$557.5 million on 185,786 tonnes, the highest monthly total of the year.
The United States remained Peru’s dominant grape market, absorbing roughly US$731 million in 2025, well ahead of other destinations. The Netherlands followed with around US$227 million, while Mexico ranked third at approximately US$120 million.
Secondary markets included the United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Colombia and Hong Kong, each taking smaller but stable volumes.
