Paprika exports on the rise

In the first two months of the current year, Peruvian whole paprika exports showed a year-over-year increase both in volume and value.

According to Agrodata Peru portal, in January and February 2022, Peru exported 5,088,438 kilos of paprika worth 16,201,331 dollars, while in the same period of 2021, the volume shipped totaled 4,099,716 kilos worth 14,306,914 dollars.

The main destinations in 2022 are: Mexico with $10,456,271 (64% of the total), the US with $3,826,183 (24%), Spain with $1,242,839 (8%), Guatemala with $478,403 (3%) and other countries which together accumulated $197,635 (1%).
