According to the latest forecasts, French cherry production is estimated at +2% compared to 2022 and exceeding the average harvest from 2018 to 2022 by 30%.
A publication of Agreste Conjoncture, emanating from the services of the Ministry of Agriculture, announces that the production of cherries in France, according to data stopped on May 1, 2023, is estimated at 39,700 tonnes.
Agreste also indicates that the total surface area reaches 7,500 hectares this year, spread over the Occitanie (1,400 hectares, or -4% compared to 2022), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (2,500 hectares, or -3% compared to 2022) regions. to 2022) and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (2,400 hectares, i.e. -1% compared to 2022).
