75 companies from the Almeria region in Spain have signed a new agreement for the export of tomatoes and peppers to the USA. In 2000, 3 200 tons of peppers were shipped, that is to say a 40% rise compared to 1999. As for tomatoes, they increased by 74% to 6 300 tons.
