Greece forbids the entrance to Chile's apple

Chile's apple do not enter Greece where the presence of morpholine on fruits were discovered.
The Greek ministry of Agriculture indicated that apples imported by Chile were blocked for sanitary reason.
The authorities of health discovered the presence of morpholine, a compound which allows fixing the wax used to make shine apples.
The morpholine is forbidden in the European Union but its use is legal in Canada, in the United States and in South America.
The Greek authorities thus removed more than 40 tons of apples from Chile and launched the alert in the other countries of the EU to strengthen controls.
