Fruidor resumes the establishment Gourgues

Fruidor, leader of the ripening of bananas of France and a subsidiary of UGPBAN (EU banana producers of Guadeloupe and Martinique) has acquired 100% shares of establishments Gourgues, wholesaler of fruits and vegetables installed in Birac on Trec in the department of Lot-et-Garonne.

This acquisition of Establishments Gourgues (turnover of € 8 million for a volume of 15 000 tons of fruits and vegetables including 7,000 t of new potatoes) reinforces the business hub Fruidor Terroirs.

Fruidor Terroirs, with 3 sites, already sells 110,000 tons of fruits and vegetables from the South-west, North and Belgium. The acquisition of a specialist early potato will strengthen the positions of Fruidor Terroirs on the French market. This recovery, dated July 1, will be fully realized at December 31, the establishments Gourguesbeing subsidiary of Fruidor  until this date .

In total Fruidor sells around 285,000 tons of products and carries 200 million euros in turnover. The Banana pole Fruidor consists of 9 ripening facilities.
