Peruvian grape exports to increase by 9% in the next campaign

Provid and the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) are jointly working towards opening the airway to the Chinese market. The process regarding opening Japanese market continues to advance.
The Association of Table Grape Producers of Peru (Provid) projects that grape exports in the 2021/22 campaign would reach 62.5 million boxes (8.2 kilos each), which would represent an increase of 9% compared to the 2020/21 campaign.
This would be the first time when Peruvian grape exports would exceed 60 million boxes.
According to Provid, Peru positioned itself as a reliable supplier in the world, thanks to the absence of severe climatic events, its varietal change to more interesting varieties, and successful diversification of volume towards different markets.
In addition, Provid and the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) are jointly working towards opening the airway to the Chinese market. The process regarding opening Japanese market continues to advance.
As Peru is the second largest world exporter of table grapes, Provid is in charge of delivering the key information that allows suppliers and markets to manage volumes in the safest way, compatible with existing resources and anticipating those that will be needed.
