Wal-Mart is setting up in Japan

Wal-Mart and Sumitomo have acquired an important stake in Japan's Seiyu, the leading retail chain in Japan with over USD8 billion in sales. Sumitomo, its largest shareholder, is increasing its holding in Seiyu. As for Wal-Mart, through this partnership, it will benefit from a solid platform on the Japanese distribution market.
