ABGC represents the banana industry and represents about 1,900 Australian banana growers.
The Australian Banana Growers Council Inc. (ABGC) announced that the banana supply was not affected by the floods.
The ABGC says that the supply of fruit is plentiful and producers continue the shipping and supply the market.
The floods have not affected the main producing areas and good weather conditions allows the abundance and quality of fruit.
Price of bananas should not increase, unlike other fruit and vegetables that have experienced severe losses.
