Wholesale markets will be managed by a public organization
MD
Algeria wants to restructure its wholesale markets of fruit and vegetables to better organize and regulate commercial activity.
Of the 42 wholesale markets operating in the country, only 3 can be considered as meeting the standards and requirements: Constantine, Mostaganem and Attatba.
The trading Minister has initiated the establishment of a public service organization for the management, implementation and management of wholesale markets.
This public organization will benefit of wholesale markets and other commercial facilities in the private domain of the State. He will be affiliated to SOEs managers of wholesale markets as subsidiaries. A financial contribution will be paid from the state.
The organization is an essential tool for the regulation of upstream distribution channels for agricultural products but also one way to organize the physical flow of goods and regulate prices in the domestic market.
