In the first 9 months of 2022, Turkey exported fruits and vegetables worth USD 1.94 billion.
According to Ferhat Gürüz, President of the Mediterranean Association of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Exporters (AKİB), Turkey in the first 9 months of 2022 exported USD 1.94 billion and 3.35 million tons of fruits and vegetables in foreign markets.
Exports from the Mediterranean region reached USD 852.4 million in the period January to September, accounting for 44% of all exports. The top 3 export products were tomatoes (284 million USD), peaches (198 million USD) and mandarins (169 million USD).
Russia was the N°1 market for Turkish productions, with a turnover of 656 million USD during the first 9 months of the year. Germany follows with 195.5 million USD and Romania with 143.1 million USD. A strong increase was recorded for exports to Israel, Croatia and Belarus, as well as for those to Saudi Arabia
