Delhaize (Mega Image) acquires G'Market stores

In Romania, the Delhaize Group, which owns the Mega Image supermarket, chain has acquired some G'Market stores from Turkey’s Anchor Group.

Delhaize has acquired three G'Market stores in Bucharest and the surrounding region will be reorganized according to the Mega Image concept.

Mega Image, which operates 94 stores in Romania, plans to invest 50 million euros this year in a warehouse and 23 stores, mainly in Bucharest and surrounding areas.

The turnover of G'Market reached 19.4 million euros last year. Mega Image posted revenues of 212 million euros last year and 146 million euros the previous year.
