Satisfactory results for the exhibition duo expoSE & expoDirekt

According to the organizers, despite the health situation which has caused difficulties, the results are satisfactory for the exhibition duo expoSE & expoDirekt (17-18 November 2021, Messe Karlsruhe). Participation is down (-25%) but the level of interest of professionals in the sector remains strong.

 

The trade fair duo: the 25th edition of expoSE, the leading European trade fair for asparagus and berry production and the 10th edition of expoDirekt, the largest trade fair specializing in agricultural direct marketing in Germany, brought together 369 exhibitors came to present their innovations, products and services and welcomed around 5,000 visitors.

 

"We are satisfied with the way the 2 shows went, even though we had 25% fewer attendees. Nevertheless, we were able to count on the loyalty of our exhibitors and on the level of interest of the attendees, as well. only on their willingness to invest in the sector. Given the gravity of the situation, we are very satisfied and we would like to warmly thank our exhibitors and visitors for the success of this anniversary fair ", said Simon Schumacher, CEO of VSSE (Verband Süddeutschen Spargel- und Erdbeeranbauer eV), the Association of Asparagus and Strawberry Producers of Southern Germany, and organizer of expoSE & expoDirekt.

 

The sector is under pressure from extremely high increases in production costs, energy and wages. Products that make work easier and reduce costs are in great demand.

 

The various conferences were intensive and fruitful, according to the participants. In particular the Asparagus Day where new cultivation systems were presented as well as several test results. The berry symposium focused on production processes and increasing costs

 

The next edition of the expoSE & expoDirekt fairs will take place on 23 and 24 November 2022 at Messe Karlsruhe.
