Indian mango production is estimated at 19.21 million tonnes.
In India, this year's exports of mangoes are about to exceed volumes recorded in the previous year.
APEDA estimates that this year exports of mangoes will far exceed the 45,730 tonnes shipped last year. According to its estimates based on shipments of exporters, the total volume could reach 50,000 tons this year.
The crops are satisfactory, the quality is good, the weather conditions also. If the current situation continues, exports will increase further. New destinations have opened up to Indian mangoes such as South Korea, and others are increasing their demand.
The season has already begun in the southern and western states of India while it will start from mid-June in the northern states like Uttar Pradesh. Domestic production is estimated at 19.21 million tonnes.
