To improve distribution throughout the country, China will start construction of new wholesale markets.
To better develop rural areas and better coordinate the needs of urban areas, the Departments of Trading and Agriculture have signed an agreement.
This agreement will improve distribution of agricultural products throughout the country within 5 years. The two departments will support the construction of large wholesale markets, located between areas of production and communications centers.
Under the agreement, the two departments also plan to develop standards for distribution of agricultural products to increase their quality.
Finally, efforts will be made to improve the system of quality control of fruit and vegetables to guarantee a better food security.
