FJ | CMA CGM
The European Commission informed that it will not oppose the creation of the P3 Network , operational alliance project between the 3 groups of maritime transport (CMA CGM, Maersk Line, MSC).
In June 2013, three groups of sea transport CMA CGM, Maersk Line and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA announced their intention to form a long term operational alliance for East-West connections, called P3 Network (P3). This alliance aims to improve the quality and availability of services offered to customers, through more frequent and more reliable connections.
P3 will allow in particular greater operational efficiency through improved productivity of ports, and network optimization. More crossings that each company does not propose individually. Increased flexibility which allows to rise or shift capacity, cost savings and environmental benefits.
P3 network will be operational and non-commercial alliance. If the ships of P3 Network will be managed independently each other by a joint operations center, the three companies will retain their own positions in sales, marketing and customer service.
The operational launch of P3 is scheduled for the fall 2014.
