Wimbledon : we go for a couple of tennis and many strawberries

Lawn tennis , players dressed in white, and strawberries and cream are the greed of the event.

This tradition goes back from Wimbledon strawberries, according to popular legend, the King George V who introduced in 1910.

During the fifteen days during the tournament it will consume 28 tons of strawberries and 7,000 liters of cream.

Strawberries are the variety Elsanta and grown in Kent. The tray of 10 strawberries sold 2.50 Pounds Sterling ( approximately EUR 3.10 )
