In Alaska, the hot summer has led to good potato harvests, but only for land that had the chance to be irrigated.
Contrasting season which allowed high yields in some areas and record losses in others. Professional estimates that comparison of previous 4-5 years, this year they recorded the earliest planting dates , the longest growing season and warmer temperatures. But lacked water.
Irrigated areas have managed to achieve good harvest but rainfed areas have suffered against big losses .
