Remarkable price rise for potato in Ukraine

Agricultural specialists have reported that early potato producers are quite satisfied with prices for this kind of vegetables this week in Ukraine. The whole sale price for early potatoes is considered to be the record one during 10 years period. The average price of potatoes is reported to be around 4 UAH/ kg this week, while last week local potato was sold at 4,5 UAH/kg. This season figures 3 times exceed previous years’ numbers. The average price for potatoes in July period has remained on 1,4 UAH/kg level during last 9 years, so this week numbers are considered to be remarkably high.
