Tunisia expects a citrus production record

 

 

 

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries said the citrus harvest for the 2016-17 season will reach 560 000 tonnes (+ 47% compared to 380,000 tonnes in the 2015-16 season).

 

 

 

The ministry statement announced 187,000 tonnes for the Maltese variety, 127,750 tons for the Navel variety, 95 600 tonnes for the Clementine and 10 500 tonnes for the Mandarin. Lemons 72 330 tons and other citrus varieties around 20 000 tonnes.
