Good prospects for the production of blueberry

ABC (Argentina Blueberry Committee) specifies that harvest started week 36 , in order to export by air 125 tons of fruit to the United States, Europe and Canada.

ABC reports that these fruits come from NOA ( noroeste argentino ), the northwest of the country and particularly in the provinces of Tucumán and Salta . Volumes will increase quickly with several varieties whose harvest start is scheduled for the week 37 fand then week 38. A production peak is expected in weeks 42-43 .

Other regions of the country should start in a few days reaching peak production to weeks 43 and 44 .

For Tucumán - Salta region production is expected to export 8,000 tons, for regions Entre-Rios-Corrientes Concordia - export volumes could reach 9000 tons, for the Buenos Aires region the exported volume is estimated at 1 800/2 000 tonnes.
