Record harvest in Quebec

Record broken for Quebec cranberry producers who harvested a record crop.

Production in 2014 , helped by good weather , has totaled 110 thousand tons of fruit. Production per acre has more than doubled , but the market price has been disappointing ( between $ 0.10 and $ 0.12 per pound).

Quebec ranks as the 2nd largest global cranberries producer , just behind the state of Wisconsin in the United States .
