Agricultural policy in Africa at the G8: the President of the African Development Bank and four African heads of state attended a G8 meeting at Camp David.
The G8 summit held at Camp David meeting will look at agricultural policy in Africa.
The President of the African Development Bank, Donald Kaberuka, and four African heads of state attended a meeting last Saturday with G8 leaders. The meeting was devoted to agricultural policy in Africa, especially to encourage the private sector to invest more in African agriculture.
The private investment already reached
more than $3 billion and governments in Africa and the G8 will continue to commit funds to stimulate growth. "A prosperous Africa and growth can only be good for the world economy," said Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank.
Priority projects will be discussed at the Annual Meetings of the Bank in Arusha, Tanzania from May 28 to 1st June
