Promising new product: starch banana slimming aids

Taiwan will solve the problem of its surplus of bananas ( surpoduction or sales stagnation) : by turning them into starch ( starch ).

The Cooperative Pingtung Yunghsin began the production of starch from bananas. It needs 20 kg of bananas for 1 kilo of starch. A Japanese company (Vantec Group) already imports it because the Taiwanese product is purer than those from the Philippines , Thailand and Costa Rica.

In Japan starch made ??from bananas is marketed as slimming aids . Indeed, unlike other carbohydrates (sugar, other starches ) the banana starch is not completely broken down by the body but is digested like fiber , even favoring " good bacteria ".

The Pingtung Cooperative is the largest Taiwanese producer of bananas and that new outlet " banana starch" promises a certain value to products
