The French professionals of SAINT CHARLES EXPORT carried out a promotional mission of 3 days in Germany and met importers and buyers.
A 3-day promotional mission across Germany to meet with German distributors and importers of fresh Fruits & Vegetables.
A team of professionals from the fruit and vegetable sector, transport and logistics sectors, members of SAINT CHARLES EXPORT, went to Germany accompanied by the General Manager of Services, Cyril GORNES: Julien BATLLE, President of Saint-Charles Export, representative of local production, Christian SOLER, Director of COOP DE FRANCE LR, representative of regional agricultural cooperation, Henri RIBES, President of SNIFL, representing intra- and extra-community production, Laurent MEDINA, President of the FNTR-FNTV 66, transport and logistics sector.
The journey (27-30 November) started in Hamburg and ended in Kehl, via Bremen, Düsseldorf, Leverkusen, Wesseling, Neu-Ulm and Stuttgart. In all, a dozen meetings organized with importers and buyers of the German supermarket. Julien BATLLE, Christian SOLER, Henri RIBES, Laurent MEDINA and Cyril GORNES visited the 1st and 3rd importers / distributors of fruit and vegetables in the country. While most of the professionals interviewed worked exclusively with the large distribution groups and the German Discounters, others, more modest, supplied regional distributors as well as German wholesalers and neighboring countries (Switzerland, Austria, etc.). All were interested in a wide range of products that could meet their quality standards.
Germany is the number one customer in volume of the SAINT CHARLES INTERNATIONAL platform. Shipments to this country have increased by 96% since 2007, the date of incorporation of SAINT CHARLES EXPORT. With mainly, tomato, cabbage and cabbage flowers, courgettes, watermelons, clementines, nectarines, apricots, salads, cucumbers. The possibility of grouping from Perpignan with products of all origins was of particular interest to the buyers met.
The German welcome was warm, the contacts were interesting, and the prospects for growth are real, on a wide range of products and services.
