With the aim of enhancing the visibility of the different autonomous communities and above all of showing the diversity of Spanish production, Fruit Attraction is inaugurating the concept of 'Guest Region' for this 2022 edition with Andalusia.
The concept of 'Guest Region' which will be maintained for the next editions of the show begins this year. The regional government of Andalusia is the Guest Region at Fruit Attraction 2022. Andalusia is already a leader in the production and export of fruit and vegetables and this role of 'Guest Region' is a chance to promote the region in order to develop new expansions and seize opportunities in other markets.
According to data from the Customs Department, processed by FEPEX, Andalusia remained the leading Spanish exporter in 2021, with 4.5 million tonnes, or +1% compared to the previous year, for a value of 6,052 million euros (+7%). In the first 4 months of 2022, the region recorded 1.7 million tonnes, or -3% compared to the first 4 months of 2021 but for a value of 3,144 million euros (+12%).
