609 properties in Boyacá obtained the ICA Registry for export

Boyacá department is one of the most important agricultural producers in Colombia. Today, the state seeks to expand its export offer. With this objective, the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) carried out a series of technical visits to verify the requirements established in resolution 448 of 2016, for the registration of properties which produce fruits and veg and want to export them fresh.
Thanks to this strategy, the 609 properties of the 62 municipalities of the department obtained the ICA Registry for export.
Among the 62 municipalities that have registered properties are: Miraflores, with 92 registries; Ramiriquí, 54; Sutamarchàn, 49; Tibana, 43; Buenavista, 34 and Zetaquirà with 25 registries
In the first 4 months of 2021 Boyacá exported 1,145 tons of fresh fruits and veg, among the most exported species are aguaymanto, 462,521 kilos; gulupa, 343,274 kilos; blueberry, 168,339 kilos; passion fruit, 47,642 kilos; yellow pitahaya, 34,246 kilos; and onion, 26,000 kilos.
