Vietnam is already exporting exotic fruits to the Middle East and plans to expand and strengthen the range of its products.
Although trade has increased significantly in recent years, it is still minimal when compared with Vietnam's major trading partners (US, EU, Southeast Asia). The Middle East offers huge opportunities for Vietnamese exports that could quickly increase their market share.
Total Vietnamese exports to all Middle Eastern countries reached $ 9.6 billion in 2017, up 11.98% from 2016. Vietnam exported clothing and textiles, electronics, as well as agricultural products such as rice, coffee, fruits and vegetables.
Currently, the Vietnamese government is working on a plan to create more favorable conditions for trade relations with the Middle East. This region presents enormous opportunities for Vietnamese exporters, especially those in the agricultural sector.
