New storage and transportation solutions to ensure a more consistent supply of blueberries and fresh currants.
L.G.M.S. France (Logistic Global Marine Services) has announced the release of the new Tec Zip Up MA Transfresh bags designed for the storage and transport of fresh blueberries and currants. Transfresh Corporation has significantly modified the Tectrol system to provide more consistent storage and supply of fresh blueberries and currants.
"The sealed palletizing process offers customers a unique storage and transport solution with a stable oxygen and carbon monoxide blend. This new system combined with a patented permeable membrane ensures the necessary oxygen transfer to fresh fruit., which allows a better control of the modified atmosphere "commented Jean-Yves Pamart, LGMS, exclusive distributor of TransFresh Corporation on the EMEA sector.
"Transfresh Corporation adds that its customers have every confidence in its new storage and transportation solutions and are able to better match supply and demand in the market." Blueberries, in particular, are produced in a multitude of countries in large quantities creating surpluses and therefore price fluctuations in various markets. The possibility of storing blueberries in our MA (Modified Atmosphere) zip bags, up to 6 weeks for blueberries and 10 weeks for currants, gives producers and shippers multiple solutions and greater flexibility to deal with market offers and demands".
Transfresh is working to make this new storage and transport solution adaptable to other products as well. L.G.M.S. will take note of the next products concerned.
In addition, Cold & Fresh Holding (C & F) and L.G.M.S. announced the acquisition of L.G.M.S. by C & F. "We strongly believe in this important strategic decision for our two units to create a win-win relationship, uniting our respective services, products and strengths," said Jean-Yves Pamart, who will continue to be involved in the coming months to the best possible transition and the respective integration of the teams for the benefit of all concerned by this decision: "We share the same values and the same commitments in terms of quality and meeting the needs of our customers. L.G.M.S under the holding C & F will continue to provide significant opportunities and growth "concluded Jean-Yves Pamart and Thibaut Ferté.
