Zespri doubled its sales of kiwi

Zespri kiwi in India saw its sales double in the last 3 years and this staggering growth is expected to continue.

The kiwi is appreciated in India because of its medicinal properties ( Vitamin C ) and the popular belief that this fruit helps fight " dengue " , also called " tropical flu". No scientific evidence has confirmed this view but demand for kiwis continues to increase.

Zespri exported  3 years ago in India only 50 containers of kiwis, now the number increased to 150. The Indian importers confirm that sales increased by 100% per year . The New Zealand company plans to reach a turnover of 7 to 8 million USD this year.
