Dole and Del Monte pleased with EU banana tariff proposals

In contrast to Chiquita, both Dole and Del Monte have expressed satisfaction with the proposed EU tariffs on bananas from Latin American countries. Dole and Del Monte both say they are happy with the proposed EUR 176 per tonne tariff, which will replace the current quota system.
