Everything you need to know to obtain the first GLOBALG.A.P certificate

Global G.A.P. certificate enables businesses to comply with distributors' requirements in terms of quality, food safety and environmental practices. GLOBALG.A.P. is amied to promote sustainable agriculture and the minimized use of agro-chemicals to benefit consumers, farmers, and retailers.

Said certification can cover: food safety and traceability, workers’ health and safety, environment and animal welfare; it includes Integrated Pest Control (IPC), Integrated Crop Management (ICM), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Quality Management System (QMS), Chain of Custody.

In order to obtain your GLOBALG.A.P certification, you need to:

​​- Download the relevant GLOBALG.A.P. standard documents at the document center

- Compare offers from the certification bodies in your country, register with the one you choose, and receive your GGN (GLOBALG.A.P. Number). 

- Carry out a self-assessment utilizing the checklist and correct the points you don’t comply with. A registered GLOBALG.A.P expert can provide you with valuable assistance during inspection and self-assessment and/or audit preparations.

- Schedule an appointment with your GLOBALG.A.P. approved certification body. An inspector/auditor will then conduct the first on-site inspection/audit.

- Once successfully complied with the standard’s requirements, you will receive a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate for the relevant version for one year.
