These are called "the Yediveren figs" (which gives 7 times fruits) because we can pick up the tree's fruit several times a year and are only grown in this region.
Due to bad weather the months of March, April and May (rain, hail and frost), a drop in production of about 40 percent is expected.
The season has started with satisfactory prices but have halved as she walked with a daily output of some 20 tons, sent mainly in the capital and Istanbul.
This variety of figs is picked before maturity to be exported mainly to Germany, Holland and Belgium in cosmetics and confectionery sectors. But this year, the season began earlier than expected because of the heat, with lower amounts and foreign companies were not present at the appeal.
