The asparagus season is launched in Alsace

This year in accordance with the usual schedule, asparagus season has just started in Alsace.

The 2015 season promises to be satisfactory , both for quantity and for quality. Launched on April 15 the season will end in mid -June.

Production is expected to reach 2,200 tons for the whole Alsace region.The Association for the Promotion of asparagus Alsace takes in account 37 professionals who sell almost half of the total production.

New this year : the website that highlights the qualitative requirement (sorting, control) of the producers, and the health benefits of asparagus.
