IFORED: International Consortium for the launch of new varieties

Producers and directors on 5 continents, each market leaders, have joined forces to develop and commercialise varieties of apples with red flesh.

A new player in the sector, IFORED is composed of producers and directors in the world market. Partners control 40, 000 hectares of apple orchards, produce about 2 million tons per year and annually sell around 2.5 million tons.
