Unprecedented China International Fruit Expo 2025 in Shanghai
This year's exhibition was unprecedented line-up of international exhibitors, with leading brands, regional brands and emerging domestic enterprises all in attendance.
Located at Halls E6 & E7 of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China International Fruit Expo became the largest and most specialized B2B fruit exhibition in mainland China. The event is organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for National Agrifood (CFNA) and hosted by Shanghai Maoheng Exhibition Co., Ltd. It attracts exhibitors and trade visitors from over 40 countries and regions, focusing on innovation and collaboration across the entire fruit industry chain to propel the high-quality development of China's fruit sector. Official representatives from commercial the organizations Chile, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, the Philippines, France, Spain, the United States, and Cambodia marked their presence at the opening ceremony.
Breeding the future
The “Breeding the Future” exhibition group, formed by Bloom Fresh, Fall Creek China, Sun World and SVM, made its inaugural collective appearance. This initiative aims to propel China's fruit industry from a phase of ‘rights protection’ towards ‘mutual benefit’, assisting the nation's transition from a high-volume producer to a quality powerhouse. It supports fruit producing firms in implementing standardised licensing solutions spanning seedlings, technology and brand implementation, thereby enhancing cultivation efficiency, market and industry growth for the next decade.
Domestic regions
This year's exhibition has further strengthened its support for domestic production regions, leveraging dedicated pavilions and concurrent events to bolster local industry development and market expansion.
The Yunnan delegation comprehensively showcased the diversity of the ‘Kingdom of Yunnan Fruit’, highlighting its 767,000 ha of orchards, annual output of 13 million tonnes, and export capacity. This initiative promotes regional brands such as ‘Zhaoyang Red’ apples and ‘Lijiang Mangoes’ onto the international stage.
Guangxi ranks as first fruit province
The Guangxi delegation showcases four major product categories: ASEAN goods, Guizhou fruits, processed items, and sour snacks. With a cultivation area spanning 1,4 million hectares, it generates an annual output of 33 million tonnes. Guangxi ranks first nationally for seven consecutive years, and an industrial output value of 200 billion yuan. Its distinctive fruit varieties include Rong'an kumquats, Qin'guo passion fruit, and Leye kiwifruit.
Multiple marketing activities
The exhibition featured a rich program of activities including panel cessions of Kunming Haiguangxing Fruit Marke, the Yunnan Provincial Plateau Specialty Fruit, and the Guangxi China-ASEAN Fruit Trading Centre Promotion Session. Leading e-commerce platforms and premier wholesale markets deepened cooperation through on-site collaboration. Shanghai Municipality Commission of Commerce launched the ‘Shanghai Beach · Fruit Wave’ festival, part of the ‘2025 Shanghai Summer · Pudong Carnival’ series of events.
