Wal-Mart to expand in Brazil

According to reports, Wal-Mart's Brazil operations will invest over US$400 million to open 18 new stores over the next five years.
Wal-Mart has been present in Brazil since 1995 and currently has 153 stores.
In 2004, it paid $300 million for the Bompreco supermarket chain in the north east of the country.
