Ailimpo plans a lemon production in increase

Ailimpo plans an increase of 20 % in lemons harvests.
Ailimpo, the Spanish professional association of lemons and pomelos, indicated its harvest expectations for the next season.
Ailimpo plans a 807.000 ton production for the 2010/2011 campaign that is a 20 % increase compared to the last season which had ended with a total production of 673 000 tons.
This increase should be absorbed by an increase of the export offer where it will be necessary to compete with the Turkish offer at the beginning of the campaign and also lemon of Argentina and South Africa from May.
